About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) is seeking a B-52J SEIT Capability Leader to lead the B-52J Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Capability Team in Oklahoma City, OK . The selected candidate will provide leadership for the B-52J development programs including the Radar Modernization Program and the Commercial Engine Replacement Program for the B-52J platform. This position will lead a customer-focused team providing systems engineering and systems integration. Management responsibilities include mentoring and coaching all levels of engineers to guide knowledge transfer to our next generation of technical leaders and engineers. Responsibilities also include managing resources and tasking for the daily engineering assignments that deal with the B-52J Aircraft within the Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers Division. The technical area of focus for engineering will be in systems engineering-focused product development, from requirements architecture and decomposition, to integration, testing, verification and certification of aircraft. This position will be responsible to ensure achievable plans are in place for the Program SEIT teams and will be responsible for the execution of the SEIT work statement. The ideal candidate will excel in both the engineering technical acumen/excellence required for this role while creating and executing plans for the Systems Engineering and Integration Team. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 10+ years of experience in Systems Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering and Integration.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.
