About The Position

The expected base pay for this role is component pay (based on miles, pick-up rate, and waiting time) with a minimum pay of $275.00 per day. Dispatching between 1:00 am - 6:00 am (sometimes as late as 11:00am depending on when pick-ups are scheduled, 12-14 hours per day). There might be some overnight pickups. Flexibility with schedule is required. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is minimum $275.00/day. Requirements

  • Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required
  • Must be able to perform coupling procedures for the Tractor/Trailer
  • Willingness to travel 2-3 times per week required
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive truck to vendors and company drop-off sites
  • Verify freight on truck, required trailer temperatures and accuracy of freight with vendors
  • Return tractor and trailer to division when route is completed
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
