Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous dining or banquet service experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required.
  • Warm, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to hospitality, safety, and excellence in a member‑focused environment.
  • Ability to speak and hear clearly.
  • Close and distance vision required.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, and carrying trays or supplies.
  • Ability to walk long distances and remain on feet for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular use of manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and bi‑manual coordination.
  • Ability to reach, kneel, and stoop repeatedly.
  • Work may occur indoors or outdoors depending on the event location.
  • Exposure to varied weather conditions.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on event needs.
  • Use of POS terminals, credit card machines, and related service equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare banquet spaces by setting tables, arranging linens, placing utensils, refilling condiments, and setting buffet stations including plates, chafers, and serving utensils.
  • Stay updated on current menu offerings, specials, and any menu deviations; communicate with the culinary team regarding item availability.
  • Greet all guests warmly with an appropriate introduction and maintain a welcoming, attentive presence throughout the event.
  • Present menus when applicable, suggest offerings, assist with drink selections, and communicate special requests or dietary needs to the kitchen.
  • Maintain a polished dining experience by delivering items promptly, anticipating guest needs, offering desserts and beverages, removing courses, replenishing utensils, and refilling glasses.
  • Properly open and pour wine tableside in accordance with club standards.
  • Support event execution by assisting with setup, service, and breakdown of both indoor and outdoor events.
  • Maintain organization of banquet spaces, including closets and storage areas.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently, wearing the proper uniform at all times.
  • Maintain knowledge of club amenities, offerings, and services to support guest inquiries.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to service, teamwork, and upholding club standards.
