About The Position

TOAST Temecula is seeking is seeking a Barista who is passionate and excited about providing an exceptional guest experience! We pride ourselves on taking a fun and adventurous approach in the breakfast world by creating made-from-scratch dishes and offering local coffees & teas, craft beer and unique cocktails. We wanted to create a fun atmosphere that people can gather and enjoy themselves, sip on a coffee or cocktail and enjoy some good brunch all week long! The Barista also gets to serve up some awesome cocktails so get ready to apply your bartending skills or learn how! Our ideal candidates will have a passion for guest experience while maintaining the highest level of standard! Requirements

MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY
Must be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service Certificate
Must have at least 1 year Barista and/or Restaurant Experience
Friendly “people-person”
Must speak fluent English; Excellent verbal communication
Able to move and clean quickly in a fast-paced environment
Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
Works well and efficiently under pressure
Always keeping a positive and upbeat attitude
Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
Flexibility and able to work day shifts including weekends and holidays
Reliability and Punctuality is a must
Takes pride in professional appearance
Physical ability and stamina to stand for long hours
Activities include, but are not limited to, walking, or standing for 6 to 8 hours at a time, reaching, stooping, lifting or carrying 25 or more pounds, carrying, talking, sitting, able to wipe down bar, tabletops, chairs, and booths; able to pick up debris from floor; able to push vacuum or mop.

Responsibilities

Interacting with guests at counter; placing/cashing out/handing out take-out orders
Prepare alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages for restaurant guests and take-out orders
Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Prepare coffee beverages for restaurant guests and take-out orders
Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies, recipe batches, milk, syrups, garnishes etc.
Clean/Sanitize/Polish glassware and utensils
Assist with closing/opening duties; restocking/prepping, sweeping, mopping
Check taps and appliances to ensure functionality and changing kegs
Keep bar area clean throughout the shift by wiping down surfaces, sweeping/mopping, scrubbing coolers and storage areas and emptying trash receptacles
Plan and present cocktail and coffee ideas
Learn about the menu and memorize drink recipes
Safety: always have a second person assisting when lifting or moving heavy items in/out of the walk in
