About The Position

Autism Center of Excellence is hiring a Behavior Technician (BT) to join our Richmond, VA team.
This role offers a consistent weekday schedule supporting pediatric clients ages 2–14 receiving Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support communication, social, and daily living skill development.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in psychology, education, behavioral health, or pediatric therapy who want meaningful hands-on experience working with children.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• RBT certification preferred but not required
• BT candidates will receive paid training toward RBT certification
• Experience working with children preferred
• Experience in ABA, childcare, education, or behavioral health is a plus
• Reliable transportation
• Professional, dependable, and compassionate
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to pediatric clients
• Implement treatment plans developed by supervising BCBAs
• Support communication, social, and daily living skill development
• Collect and document behavioral data during sessions
• Follow behavior intervention and safety plans
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians and caregivers
• Maintain professional and timely documentation
