Website: https://www.Midwest-Center.com Position Summary: The Behavioral Response Specialist (BRS) is a unit leader in providing de-escalation and support strategies to avoid physical interventions and promote optimal milieu management. The BRS provides emergency reponse in high risk/escalating events with the use of crisis intervention training to maintain safety and security of the unit(s). The BRS assists with unit programming/activities to faciliate the carryover of therapy issues, leisure activities, and activities of daily living. The BRS assists the House Supervisor with oversight of the unit and staff each shift.
