Team Member is responsible for providing beverage service to all guests in an efficient, courteous and professional manner displaying a high standard of guest service. Team Member will work under general supervision. This position relies on limited experience, instructions, pre-established guidelines and good judgment to perform the functions of the job. Primary Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks: All team members are obligated to support and uphold the Valley View Casino & Hotel’s Standards of Excellence, Mission and Vision Statements as outlined in the Team Member Guide to Success. Maintain positive guest relations at all times, resolving guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction. Greet guests in a courteous and caring manner using personalized service. Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous beverage service to guests in accordance with company policies, procedures and standards. Responsible for the accuracy of purchased beverages while ensuring guests receives accurate change. Performs necessary tasks to service guests, i.e.; taking and filling all beverage orders and assisting in maintaining guests gaming area in a clean and neat manner. Monitors guests needs on a continual basis ensuring all beverage requests will be promptly fulfilled. Maintains assigned area for cleanliness. Assists other beverage personnel with maintenance (side work, opening/closing duties) as necessary. Maintains a working knowledge of company facilities, as well as special events on property, in order to advise guests and fellow Team Members of same, whenever possible. Responsible for protecting Valley View Casino & Hotel by adhering to alcohol beverage control policies by providing responsible alcohol service and monitoring guest’s alcohol consumption. Responsible for informing the Food and Beverage Managers when a guest demonstrates signs of intoxication. All team members must comply with the Tipped Rate Determination Agreement (Gaming Industry) as approved by the IRS. Other duties as assigned by Food and Beverage Managers, Director and/or Vice President. Responsible for conducting all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. Adheres to performance standards, company policies and procedures, as they relate to the department.
