Billing and Collections Representative
About The Position
Performs all types of billing, collection and follow up functions for direct, third party and government patient accounts and serves as a resource and trainer to others in the area with minimal supervision. This individual is able to readily identify and respond to claim denial trends, postings error trends and/or complex inquiry calls for the purpose of routing Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements
- 2 years of Patient Accounting experience in a physician office, hospital, or medical collections or equivalent knowledge and ability to execute essential functions of this job description.
- Extensive Customer Service Skills as well as computer application.
- Third party follow-up, government follow-up, patient collections, account resolution, billing, and/or cash applications.
Nice To Haves
- Coursework/Training and 1 year of college.
- Or Business experience.
- Medical Business Office experience in a physician office or hospital.
