About The Position

Process all billing for retail, government, wholesale, and dealer trade sold vehicles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months to one year related experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in ten key by touch.
  • Comprehends basic accounting principles of credits and debits.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract six digit numbers and to multiply and divide.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals on an adding machine.
  • Ability to compute percentage rates and commissions on an adding machine.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail when conducting all essential duties.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and bills all retail, government, wholesale, and dealer-trade sold vehicles.
  • Forwards contract packet for all financed deals to file clerk.
  • Reconciles billing daily and posts billed deals to finance department.
  • Verifies payoff information on trade-in vehicles and processes the checks.
  • Inputs information into the purchase screen for all new vehicles. Assembles inventory files on all vehicles in stock.
  • Assign used vehicles a stock number and inputs the purchase information. Processes the purchase checks, contacting the buyer to exchange check for vehicle title.
  • Conducts monthly physical inventory to verify that all vehicles on inventory schedule have a file in the inventory cabinet.
  • Verifies and assigns vehicle titles.
  • Reviews accounting schedules and creates journal entries as needed.
  • Cross-trains for other business office tasks as required.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Keeps work area neat and clean.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
