About The Position

This position will report to the Forest Office at 305 Cleveland Street, Forest, MS 39074. This position will be working Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 5 pm with flexibility Holiday work and weekend work required as needed. This position will be responsible for driving the company vehicle to grower farms to spray vaccine on live chickens. Observe vaccination process of pullets. Record and maintain all required data as directed. Mix vaccine, load supplies for transport, weigh product, pull blood samples and cook fat samples and prepare for delivery. Sanitize vehicle and equipment, perform vehicle inspections, and load and unload trays of product by hand. This position reports to the Breeder Manager. Essential Job Functions: 1. Must be able to report to work promptly and regularly. 2. Must be able to take directions from management and work well with others. 3. Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately; react to change productively, and handle all other tasks as assigned. 4. Must be willing to lift and handle product up to 10 lbs. 5. Must be willing to lift and carry vaccine backpack in excess of 75 lbs. 6. Must be willing to walk, climb, bend, stoop and work at a fast pace. 7. Must be willing to perform other housekeeping tasks. 8. Must adhere to all Tyson Foods policies to include Animal Welfare and Bio-Security guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to communicate with managers and Team Members both orally, verbally and in writing as requires.
  • Must have physical ability and endurance to carry vaccine backpack in excess of 75 lbs.
  • Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license with no more than two moving violations, no DUI/ DWI conviction on driver record; and ability to obtain and maintain a Tyson’s Operator Permit.
  • Must be able to work in inclement conditions.
  • Must have 6 months Operator experience with one employer in the previous 12-months.
  • Selected candidate must live in a 30-mile radius from facility.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
  • Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
  • Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.
