The primary purpose of the Process Technician is to work with the Shift Supervisor to operate, troubleshoot, document, and communicate on all equipment that is not performing within specifications. This position may perform supervisory tasks such as: designating Packer / Handlers and other team members to meet production schedules, opening/closing the building as required, and overseeing employees in the absence of management. In performing these responsibilities, associates are to work safely, efficiently, and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement. This role requires leadership skills, good communication skills, the ability to think critically, learn new processes, be self-motivated, adapt to changes, and work in a fast-paced environment with a broad range of people. Set up machines/equipment for operation, including material, color, molds, auxiliary equipment, etc. Keep supervisor/management informed of all problems Start-up machines and monitor quality to maintain appropriate sizes and standards Make appropriate adjustments to machines to maintain efficient production levels and document appropriately Oversee proper packaging procedures Review production schedules and ensure machines are running production to meet customer demands Respond to alarms and/or requests for assistance to correct machine malfunctions and/or Packer/Handler problems Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Maintenance Departments concerning machine operations and malfunctions Inspect scrap to prevent any usable product from being ground and record scrap numbers Ensure housekeeping standards and all safety procedure are maintained Ensure a smooth transition between shifts Ethics: Treats people with respect Organizational Support: Follows policies and procedures Attendance/Punctuality: Is consistently at work and on time Dependability: Follow instructions, responds to management direction Quality: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality Quantity: Completes work in timely manner Safety and Security: Observes safety and security procedures; uses equipment and materials Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law. Responsibilities
