About The Position

The Culinary BOH Lead program develops future kitchen leaders by providing hands‑on experience in all aspects of culinary operations. Under the guidance of Executive Chefs, Sous Chefs, and BOH management, learns kitchen leadership, production systems, food safety, labor controls, and team development. This role is ideal for individuals pursuing advancement into Sous Chef or BOH Manager positions.

Responsibilities

  • Learn all areas of the kitchen and production procedures, including prep, events, catering events, ordering, and inventory.
  • Support daily prep execution and ensure consistency with recipes, portioning, and plating standards.
  • Assist with menu execution and culinary innovation.
  • Monitor food quality, temperature logs, and presentation in accordance with culinary standards.
  • Shadow Executive and Sous Chefs to learn coaching, delegation, and shift leadership.
  • Participate in interviewing, onboarding, and cross‑training BOH employees.
  • Provide hands-on support during peak hours to lead by example.
  • Learn how to deliver performance feedback and promote a positive kitchen culture.
