About The Position

The Hourly Sous Chef supports daily kitchen operations in a high‑volume environment, ensuring food quality, consistency, and execution meet company standards. This role assists with line leadership, support, training, prep oversight, food safety compliance, and event execution. The Hourly Sous Chef acts as a working lead on the floor, helping maintain smooth service and supporting culinary team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support culinary team members during service to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent execution.
  • Maintain high culinary standards, portion control, flavor profiles, and presentation guidelines.
  • Oversee prep quality, labeling, rotation, and readiness daily.
  • Step onto any prep area as needed to maintain flow and uphold service standards.
  • Assist in training, coaching, and onboarding new culinary staff.
  • Provide hands‑on guidance during high-pressure service periods.
  • Foster a positive, team‑centered kitchen culture built around communication and accountability.
