About The Position

Responsible for performing semi-skilled manual labor work in keeping offices, buildings and surrounding grounds in a clean and orderly condition. Pay Range: $16.41 - $18.14 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
• No experience required
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months to 1 year experience in maintenance, custodial services or similar experience
• General knowledge of maintenance upkeep
• Skill in operating general cleaning maintenance equipment
• Ability to work to make independent decisions
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with City personnel
• Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Maintain City facilities’ flooring by sweeping, mopping, shampooing and scrubbing.
• Clean woodwork, furniture, desk, chairs, filing cabinets and telephones.
• Complete detailed vacuuming of carpets and other applicable surfaces.
• Maintain sanitary condition of facilities by cleaning sinks, mirrors, countertops, toilets and drinking fountains.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
