Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
1–3 years’ experience in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, or painting.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Basic math and measurement skills.
Ability to understand test equipment and diagrams.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs frequently and 25–50 lbs regularly.
Compassionate, patient, and professional when assisting residents.
Dependable and safety-minded.
Enjoy working on a team that makes a difference every day.

Nice To Haves

Trade school or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance across assigned campus areas.
Repair buildings, fixtures, furniture, appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing, and small electrical components.
Complete maintenance work orders promptly and accurately.
Monitor outside contractor work for quality and safety.
Report unusual occurrences or damages to the Maintenance Manager.
Provide on-call and weekend maintenance coverage as scheduled.
Maintain tools and equipment in safe, clean condition.
Work cooperatively with teammates to support community operations.
Follow all safety and emergency procedures per Epworth Villa policies.
Assist with snow removal and seasonal duties as needed.
