Building Maintenance Worker II-Jones Creek
About The Position
Building Maintenance Worker II Delivers Parks and Recreation building maintenance materials daily between branches and delivers items from vendors; Loads/unloads bins from vehicle at multiple locations. Uses ticketing system to maintain record of repairs. Performs electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs as required. Responsible for painting facilities. Assembles and moves furniture and equipment as needed. Maintains routine check on general condition of buildings assigned. Pick up trash from parking lot and grounds of all branches. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year job related experience
- Ability to lift heavy equipment
- Knowledge of ticketing software
- Problem solving and mechanical skills
- Familiarity with painting tools and materials
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills along with the ability to deal effectively with people
