About The Position

The Bus Person sets up and removes all tableware and assists the Food Servers as required.

Requirements

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
• Regular attendance required.
• One to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English. Ability to read and write simple correspondences, memos and lists.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to work with weight measurements, volume and distance.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.
• Remembering Details, Using Arithmetic, Reading, Working Rapidly, Working at Various Temperatures, Concentrating Amid Distractions, Examining and Observing Details.
• Standing, Walking, Reaching, Kneeling, Carrying, Pulling, Lifting 50 lbs., Sitting, Bending/Stooping, Observing, Stretching, Pushing, Turning, Balancing.
• Inside, Noisy, Odors, Changing Temperatures, Dirty.

Responsibilities

• Keep side stations stocked.
• Assist Food Servers as necessary.
• Help control waste and breakage by handling service ware with caution; loading and unloading bus tubs with care; avoiding discarding reusable items.
• Assists in keeping restaurant neat and clean.
• Wipes down chairs, tables, child seats, and picks up floors around each table bussed.
• Observes good sanitation and safety procedures.
• Adheres to the Thoughtful Service Model at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
