About The Position

DLP Bank is seeking a highly analytical and relationship focused Business Banker to manage and monitor an assigned portfolio of commercial and small business loans while supporting lenders and branch personnel with credit analysis, underwriting, and loan structuring. This role helps maintain credit quality, monitor borrower performance, and support relationship growth through close collaboration with commercial bankers, private bankers, and credit administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, portfolio management, or small business lending
  • Strong financial statement and cash flow analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial and small business lending practices.
  • Ability to analyze credit risk and recommend appropriate loan structures.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and must enjoy teaching and support others (“heart for service”)

Nice To Haves

  • SBA lending experience preferred, but not required
  • Previous branch lending and leadership experience is helpful, not required

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor an assigned portfolio of commercial and small business loan relationships.
  • Perform financial analysis including review of financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow.
  • Prepare or assist with credit memorandums, annual reviews, and risk rating recommendations.
  • Monitor covenant compliance and borrower performance.
  • Support lenders, private bankers, and branch personnel in maintaining strong client relationships and identifying potential credit concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with bank credit policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness of small business borrowers including cash flow analysis and collateral evaluation.
  • Support lenders and underwriters in preparing loan packages and credit presentations.
  • Ensure loan files comply with bank credit policy and regulatory guidelines.
  • Support adherence to credit policy, underwriting standards, and risk rating accuracy.
