What we are looking for: We are seeking a highly technical, consultative sales professional with deep experience in electric heat applications, power control systems, and SCR-based solutions. This role is responsible for expanding GTH’s market presence by developing strategic customer relationships, identifying complex application opportunities, and delivering engineered solutions in collaboration with internal teams. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen, with the ability to engage engineers, plant managers, and executive stakeholders to solve critical process heating and control challenges. Our clients are contractors or end users supporting a wide range of industries including aerospace, heat treat, food / beverage, pharmaceutical, and water wastewater. We offer a number of products and services to these industries such as: PLC / HMI SCADA / Integration Software Thermal & Process Instrumentation Custom UL Control Panels Industrial Field Services

Requirements

  • Strong technical communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to sell engineered or application-based solutions, not just products.
  • Deep understanding of industrial processes and control systems.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ability to build long-term trusted relationships.
  • Comfortable engaging with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of managing a complex sales cycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales or application engineering, preferably in: Electric heating systems SCR power controllers / power electronics Industrial temperature control systems Control panels or system integration
  • Demonstrated experience with electric heat applications (process heating, thermal systems, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of: SCRs / thyristor-based power control Temperature controllers and instrumentation Industrial automation and control systems
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams on custom or engineered solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Acumatica preferred).
  • Valid drivers’ license

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing opportunities in industrial electric heating, SCR power control, and automation systems.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to customers, providing application guidance on heaters, temperature control systems, and power control solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth application reviews to recommend optimized solutions involving electric heat, control panels, and integrated systems.
  • Increase GTH market share through strategic account development, including onsite customer visits, plant walkthroughs, and technical consultations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers including engineering, operations, maintenance, and procurement teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production to design and deliver custom-engineered solutions.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals, system architectures, and detailed quotations.
  • Lead technical discussions around SCRs, power controllers, temperature control strategies, and system integration.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activity within industrial heating and controls markets.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and technical conferences to expand network and identify new opportunities.
  • Manage sales pipeline, opportunities, and customer interactions within CRM.
  • Develop and execute territory and account plans, including sales forecasts and growth strategies.
  • Support project execution by acting as a Project Manager on awarded projects, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and delivery.
  • Partner with Customer Service and internal teams to resolve technical and commercial issues.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical training, and educational sessions for customers and internal staff.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of electric heat technologies, SCR power control, and industrial automation systems.
  • Maintain strong alignment with GTH policies, processes, and performance goals.
