About The Position

The Ameriprise Financial Business Development - Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a 24-month rotational experience designed to help recent graduates build leadership skills, gain hands-on business experience, and explore career paths in financial services. Through three 8-month rotations, you’ll work on real projects that impact the business, connect with senior leaders, and receive mentorship and training to support your growth. At the end of the program, you’ll be well-positioned to apply for a full-time role within Ameriprise’s business development organizations. Requirements

  • Current Senior at a 4-year university pursing a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or related field
  • Graduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Commitment to complete the full 24-month Leadership Development Program

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple advisor interactions and priorities
  • Clear and confident communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with leadership to support sales goals and advisor needs
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite to track leads, prepare presentations, and analyze sales data

Responsibilities

  • Supporting sales initiatives by assisting with advisor outreach, lead generation, and follow-up activities
  • Collaborating with team members to improve sales processes and enhance the overall advisor experience
  • Conducting basic data analysis to identify sales trends and opportunities for growth
  • Helping troubleshoot advisor issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Contributing to reporting efforts, tracking performance metrics and preparing summaries for leadership
