Job Overview We are seeking a driven and dynamic Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing sales team, focused primarily on Business to Business (B2B) opportunities. The BDR will play a crucial role in identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities for our safety certification solutions. You will be responsible for generating leads, initiating contact with potential business clients, setting qualified meetings, and closing sales. This is a high-impact role that directly supports our mission to make workplaces safer and more productive.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation, preferably in B2B or professional services.
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot experience is a plus) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelors degree preferred; relevant industry knowledge is a plus.
  • Passion for workplace safety and a genuine interest in making a positive impact on organizations and their employees.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with business leaders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple prospects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction experience is preferred
  • QSSP certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prospect & Research: Identify and research potential business clients across targeted industries using a variety of tools and channels (Hubspot, industry directories, etc.).
  • Outbound Outreach: Conduct outbound calls, emails, and social media messaging to introduce BCSPs offerings and generate interest in our B2B safety certification solutions.
  • Lead Qualification: Engage with prospects to understand their safety needs, qualify their interest, and assess their fit for BCSPs programs.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified meetings and discovery calls with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
  • Pipeline Management: Enter and maintain accurate records of all prospecting, outreach, closing, and sales activities in the CRM system (HubSpot), ensuring a healthy and organized sales pipeline.
  • Presentations & Webinars: Deliver engaging in-person presentations and virtual presentations/webinars to prospective and existing business clients, clearly communicating the value of BCSPs workplace safety certification programs and driving sales opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with BCSP internal teams to refine messaging, share market feedback, and optimize lead generation strategies.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up to date on BCSPs offerings, industry trends, and the evolving needs of businesses regarding workplace safety.
