About The Position

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a pivotal role in expanding Baker’s footprint in the commercial and industrial solar market. This position is designed for a proactive, results-driven professional who excels at building relationships and uncovering new business opportunities

Requirements

  • 4+ Years of Business-to-Business sales or business development experience
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed lead generation targets
  • Excellent ability to cultivate and maintain relationships and generate referrals
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-energy and collaborative environment
  • Prioritizing and multitasking abilities are critical, along with an ability to provide routine reporting and follow-through
  • Experience in solar, energy storage, renewables and/or other energy efficiency-related industries
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Proficiency with computers and common lead generation tools preferred (ZoomInfo, email automation tools, LinkedIn, etc)
  • Exude competencies such as work ethics and values, client focus, initiative, attention to detail and problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cold outreach to private businesses in target markets
  • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns and off to sales consultants
  • Conceptualize and execute on go to market strategies with support from marketing and leadership
  • Work alongside marketing to develop new strategies
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and industry events to represent Baker Electric and build brand awareness
  • Network with key decision makes and influencers to generate new leads
  • Establish and nurture long-lasting relationships with strategic partners
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, leads, and activities in Salesforce CRM
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth hand-off of opportunities
