About The Position

We’re building a pipeline of strategic, relationship-driven professionals interested in future Business Development roles with CLEAResult. Business Development professionals at CLEAResult help expand our impact by identifying growth opportunities, nurturing partnerships, and developing new programs that advance energy efficiency, demand-side management, and sustainability initiatives. In this role, you would focus on building long-term client relationships, identifying and developing new opportunities, and supporting the expansion of CLEAResult’s services across utility, government, and commercial markets—while contributing to our mission to drive measurable climate and energy outcomes.

Requirements

  • Experience in business development, account management, sales, or client relationship roles.
  • Strong relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting solutions to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience managing opportunity pipelines and contributing to growth targets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems is an asset.
  • A collaborative, consultative approach with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • A strong desire to contribute to meaningful work that supports climate action and energy efficiency.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support relationship development and growth initiatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within energy efficiency, utilities, sustainability, professional services, or public-sector environments is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with utilities, governments, and other strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that align with client needs, regulatory requirements, and market opportunities.
  • Support the development of proposals, presentations, and responses to RFPs and RFQs.
  • Lead or support client meetings, discovery sessions, and relationship-building activities.
  • Track and manage business development activities, opportunities, and pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Monitor market trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive activity to inform growth strategies.
  • Contribute to revenue growth, pipeline development, and long-term account strategy.
  • Represent CLEAResult at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities as required.
  • Other duties as required.
