About The Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Sales, Supply Chain, and Product Development by transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational performance. This position partners across departments to develop data-driven strategies, analyze complex datasets, improve business processes, and design tools that enhance visibility and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Intelligence, the BI Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote data literacy, provide training, and empower stakeholders to leverage analytics in their daily decision-making. This role is responsible for translating data into meaningful visualizations and interactive reporting solutions that enable exploration, scenario analysis, and informed business choices. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They bring experience in statistical analysis, data profiling, and machine learning, along with hands-on expertise in techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, and model validation. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Finance, or related field
  • 3 + years of experience in business intelligence and analytics
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (query development, joins, aggregations, performance tuning)
  • Experience building dashboards in Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas)
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Ability to interpret operational and financial metrics
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain scalable data models to support operational, financial, and strategic reporting
  • Design and optimize data collection systems and processes to improve statistical efficiency and data quality
  • Create and maintain structured datasets from ERP and related systems
  • Build and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
  • Develop validation checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability
  • Assist in establishing data governance policies and procedures for data collection, processing, and analysis
  • Identify and evaluate internal and external data sources to enhance reporting capabilities
  • Support development and enhancement of centralized data warehouse structures
  • Design, create, and maintain rich interactive dashboards, visual reports, and scorecards using BI tools
  • Transform complex analytical results into clear, actionable reporting for stakeholders
  • Define and document KPI logic, metric definitions, and reporting standards
  • Implement automated reporting solutions to reduce manual processes
  • Ensure a single source of truth through strong data quality and reconciliation practices
  • Continuously refine dashboards for usability, performance, and executive visibility
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify operational and market trends
  • Perform comparative analysis, benchmarking, and trend analysis
  • Use statistical methods to interpret data patterns and support diagnostic and predictive insights
  • Partner closely with management and operational teams to gather business requirements
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and scalable BI solutions
  • Evaluate performance against key performance indicators and highlight risks and opportunities
  • Bring data together to communicate clear themes, insights, and strategic implications
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, margin analysis, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and effectively to leadership and stakeholders
  • Monitor data environment performance and reporting reliability
  • Validate and reconcile data sources to ensure confidence in decision-making
  • Foster positive working relationships with data suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Maintain documentation for reporting standards, business definitions, and governance practices
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company data policies
  • Stay current on emerging BI technologies, data tools, and analytics best practices
  • Recommend improvements to reporting systems, automation processes, and data architecture
  • Identify opportunities to streamline analytics workflows and improve reporting efficiency
  • Support cross-functional integration of BI solutions into daily business operations
