This purpose of the Business Manager’s role is to manage strategic supplier relationships at the corporate level and the product segments associated with those key supplier partners. This is the leader of the commercial strategy for Polyethylene Flexibles and serves as the liaison between the supplier and the sales organization. Areas of Responsibility / TasksPerformance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below. Essential Functions Maximize overall growth and profitability of the product line Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans internally aligned with branded distribution, resale generic, and offgrade strategies Understanding impact of global markets, building an in-depth knowledge of product lines and the factors driving supply and demand Strategically collaborate with Leadership, Sales, Purchasing, and Planning to formulate a product offering and inventory strategy to support profitable growth Effectively managing cost negotiations, growth initiatives, supply forecasting, and price management Supplier Management Manage supplier expectations Defining and delivering growth objectives Pricing discussions and direction for existing accounts Set overall strategy for business, Business Development Managers and Product Coordinator’s day to day functions Sales/Product Forecasting All other duties as assigned
