About The Position

We’re hiring a Business Operations Analyst to support the operational backbone of SemiAnalysis as the firm continues to scale. This role sits at the intersection of finance, legal, and internal business operations, helping ensure that the company’s internal processes, compliance requirements, and financial workflows run smoothly. This role is ideal for candidates with early experience in consulting, finance, or legal environments who enjoy solving operational problems, managing complex processes, and supporting leadership on strategic initiatives. You will work closely with the operations team and senior leadership across a range of projects including financial analysis, vendor management, compliance tracking, and internal process improvement. This is a full-time role based in the United States.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in consulting, finance, law, business operations, or a related analytical role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High degree of ownership and comfort working autonomously.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage structured processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in consulting, investment banking, legal advisory, or corporate strategy roles.
  • Familiarity with financial analysis, budgeting, or operational reporting.
  • Experience working with contracts, vendor agreements, or corporate compliance workflows.
  • Exposure to startup or high-growth company environments.

Responsibilities

  • Operational Support: Assist in managing day-to-day business operations across finance, legal coordination, and administrative workflows.
  • Financial Analysis: Support budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting processes to help maintain operational visibility.
  • Vendor & Contract Coordination: Assist with vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and coordination with legal counsel on contracts and agreements.
  • Compliance & Corporate Administration: Track regulatory filings, corporate documentation, and compliance obligations across company entities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify operational inefficiencies and help design systems and processes that improve scalability and execution.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Support strategic initiatives across recruiting, finance, research operations, and consulting engagements.
  • Data & Reporting: Build internal dashboards and reporting tools to track operational metrics and business performance.
