About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Business Operations Intern (Cross-Functional). The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: The Business Operations Intern (Cross-Functional) will support a variety of business functions including Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain/Operations. This role is designed to provide broad exposure to how Eaton’s teams collaborate to deliver value to customers and drive business results. Interns will work on real-world projects with measurable impact while receiving coaching and mentorship from experienced Eaton leaders.

Requirements

Actively enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).

Nice To Haves

Prior internship, co-op, or relevant project experience.
Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Interest in operations, analytics, or continuous improvement.
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic financial tracking, invoicing, budgets, and variance analysis.
Create and maintain Excel-based trackers and dashboards.
Support documentation and improvement of administrative or financial processes.
Maintain sales and pipeline trackers; ensure data accuracy.
Support preparation of internal and customer-facing materials.
Coordinate with sales, operations, and customer service teams.
Conduct market and competitor research and summarize insights.
Assist with internal communications, content updates, and event support.
Support purchase order tracking, supplier follow-ups, and inventory reporting.
Assist with documenting standard operating procedures and process improvements.
Support or own 1–2 defined improvement or analysis projects.
Present outcomes and recommendations at the end of the internship.
