About The Position

The Business Operations Manager functions as a liaison between stakeholders and finance teams to understand the structure, processes and operations of the applicable department or Business Unit. This role evaluates business processes, identifying areas for improvement, developing & implementing solutions. This role will lead to the execution of projects, track progress, and ensure the alignment of initiatives across cross-functional teams. This role requires an understanding of Marco services and the ability to influence continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and six years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with business collaboration tools, including MS Office applications, project management platforms, CRM systems, service management solutions, and performance metrics.
  • Proven leadership abilities such as effective decision-making, mentoring, delivering constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for inclusion.
  • Comprehensive understanding of process flow.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven experience engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders and building collaborative relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in time and task management; project management experience is highly desirable.
  • Capacity to adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Possesses natural curiosity, actively seeks to deepen knowledge, asks insightful questions, and documents detailed information.
  • Proactive problem-solver who removes obstacles efficiently and leverages available resources when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision for the Finance team members to include: o Serve as a mentor and coach by reviewing team member contributions and make recommendations as needed.
  • Be the first escalation point of contact to handle issues and involve manager as needed.
  • Monitor team coverage, oversee personal time off approval, make sure back-ups are in place, and redistribute work to cover when others are out.
  • Conduct performance reviews and make compensation recommendations.
  • Hold regular 1:1 session with each team member to provide support and remove obstacles.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Act as a liaison between departments or Business Unit, ensuring alignment in strategies and execution of initiatives.
  • Document current state, through observation and interviews with key stakeholders and primary end-users.
  • Identify gaps between current and future state.
  • Create business requirements, ensuring project scope is communicated and accepted.
  • Coordinate project execution, completion, documentation, and communication with applicable Marco teams.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders on programs or initiatives.
  • Assist in the definition of standard work.
  • Support change management.
  • Assist in the evaluation, implementation, and administration.
  • Attend required company and departmental meetings.
  • Act in accordance with Marco policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
