About The Position

Are you detail-driven, analytical, and energized by supporting business relationships? We’re looking for a Business Portfolio Specialist to play a critical role in monitoring and supporting an established portfolio of business loans and deposit relationships. This position partners closely with Commercial Lenders and the Business Portfolio Manager to ensure portfolio health, regulatory compliance, and exceptional member service. This is a highly productive individual contributor role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-focused financial environment.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of similar or related experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or portfolio management
  • Ability to read and interpret business financial statements, calculate cash flow, and perform debt service analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations
  • Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and member-centric approach
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional partners
  • Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the annual review process, including collecting and analyzing borrower financial statements
  • Monitor loan maturities, initiate proactive member outreach, and facilitate timely loan renewals
  • Maintain assigned portfolios by reviewing monthly financials, past-due reports, and exceptions, and collaborating on resolution strategies
  • Coordinate and track the collection of financial statements via phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for business members in partnership with the Commercial Lender
  • Support business loan servicing needs, including payments, maintenance requests, and general inquiries
  • Order due diligence items such as appraisals and environmental reports
  • Attend member visits and loan committee meetings as requested to stay aligned on priorities and pipeline flow
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with Commercial Lenders to keep files moving efficiently
  • Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
