About The Position

The range listed reflects the entire range and typical placement is entry to mid range. Pay Range - $15.16/hr Position Purpose Supports the efforts of the waitpersons and management in serving the guest. Essential Job Functions Greets customers and maintains cleanliness of restaurant. Provides continuous flow of supplies to bus station. Helps with clean-up and set up of private parties. Assists waitperson in serving water and coffee. Wipes silverware and ensures that all supplies are clean and ready for use. Assists waitpersons in getting the dining room ready for business. Takes soiled dishes to dishwashing area. Racks glassware in appropriate place. Maintains restaurant equipment, chairs, tables, floors, as needed. Sorts soiled linen and delivers to appropriate place. Travels to and attends team and organizational meetings, training, events and activities and appropriately and professionally represents the department. Other Job Functions Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and in writing, to support organizational objectives and interact with all levels of personnel within the city in a positive and cooperative manner.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strenuous to extreme physical effort that includes frequent use of heavy objects (e.g., 50+ pounds) and may also use heavy tools or require strenuous application in awkward positions.
Individuals in strenuous positions must successfully complete a physical examination to ensure their fitness for duty.
Occasional hazards that are predictable or well protected against (Hazardous waste, ladders, cleaning supplies, trips and falls.
Regular exposure to heat and noise along with working outside in the elements.
