About The Position

The Busser assists Servers in providing exceptional quality and excellent service to our guests. The Busser is also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout dining areas, specifically guest tables.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Previous restaurant experience preferred
TIPS Certification or Certified within 90 days of employment
CA Food Handlers certification required
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in high paced work environment
Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and prioritize

Responsibilities

Maintains cleanliness and order throughout dining and work areas by clearing, collecting and returning food and beverage items to proper areas
Clears tables and resets them neatly and according to specification
Ensures the Front-of-House is presentable to guests
Maintains knowledge of food menu and provides recommendations in describing menu items to guests to drive sales
Assists Server with providing wine presentations and recommendations
Assists Server in following proper plate presentation and garnish set up details
Promotes restaurants, wines, tasting room, wine club and upcoming events
Works with kitchen staff to ensure food is expedited quickly and correctly
Communicates with service staff and managers about guest needs
Takes the lead in any guest issues that may arise during your shift and communicates to the manager/supervisor
Looks for ways to improve service, streamline the efficiency and maximize revenue possibilities
