About The Position

JOB SUMMARY The Cabinet Operations Manager has the ultimate accountability for implementation, operations, scheduling, warehouse, production and customer care departments including their workflow, compliance to process, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong communications skills and ability to collaborate constructively within a team environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Oversee jobsite field management team, service technicians, employee and subcontract installers for all trades. Responsible for recruiting, training and maintaining a quality-oriented dependable installer base to meet the growth goals for the Northern California division. Oversee safety training and communications for all associates. Monitor subcontractors’ safety compliance. Ensure all reporting and safety required documents are kept up to date. Lead point of contact liaison with the President, Controller, and Human Resources for all issue and process gaps stemming from Sacramento region. Conduct regular meetings/check ins with line level staff/department managers to ensure accurate assessment of workload, process compliance, and other needs. ·Embodying the “Shining the Wheel” process for the Sacramento Division, including teaching and growing the team members understanding and compliance to such. Oversee Sacramento Vintage Design Builder new community onboarding and set up process: Oversee the communication and information flow between the Sacramento sales support team and the Vintage Design Lake Forest new community Implementation team. Attend Builder meetings and functions with Executive Vice President as required to ensure operational responsibilities can be properly implemented and maintained. Work with the Executive Vice President to implement, execute and expand all Vintage Design trade-based opportunities. (Cabinets, Counter tops, surrounds, flooring, window coverings, design center services) Oversee the review of all job cost reports. Offer ideas and implementation strategies to save costs and increase margins. May also include working closely with corporate accounting/finance. Work closely with the production and management teams to job forecast current and future volume. Work closely with the Executive Vice President to implement strategies to expand the Vintage Design Brand and market share throughout Northern California. Work closely with the Vintage Design customer service management team to implement best practice across all customer facing interactions. Oversee warehouse optimization best practice process to best utilize resources for maximum warehouse operational efficiency including Inventory control. Oversee best practice production process flow from order creation through final quality walk. Develop strategies and metrics to ensure customer expectations are met. Requirements

  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office
  • At least 5 years in the new home construction industry including knowledge on cabinet installation, construction, repair, adjustment, finish, and staining.
  • At least 2 years of 2020 experience is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing and successfully leading a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment is essential.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Clean driving record with a valid CA driver's license and auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Flooring installation knowledge is a plus.

  • Oversee the entire Sacramento Operation, and lead the team to delegate to line managers, provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
  • Responsible for timecard and time off approvals.
  • Effective management of department time off to ensure workload is covered and deadlines are met.
  • Performance Management - Annual reviews, succession planning, and identifying areas for additional coaching and learning opportunities.
