About The Position

This role supports sales for a U.S. manufacturing company that produces high-end modular aluminum cabinet systems used in garages, trailers, professional workshops, and specialty vehicle builds. The company sells to both business customers and individual consumers , with sales opportunities generated through inbound leads, existing customer relationships, and proactive sales outreach. The sales environment combines consultative inside sales with product expertise , requiring the ability to understand mechanical products, dimensional requirements, and customer needs. Sales professionals collaborate closely with internal teams including engineering, manufacturing, accounting, and shipping to ensure successful order execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Office 365
  • Mechanical aptitude including the ability to understand dimensions and measurements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consultative sales environments

  • Familiarity with cabinet design or layout

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell cabinet systems and related accessories to existing and prospective customers
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and convert leads into sales opportunities
  • Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand customer requirements
  • Recommend product configurations based on customer needs
  • Develop strong knowledge of cabinet system features and capabilities
  • Demonstrate product advantages compared to competing solutions
  • Assist customers in selecting cabinet configurations appropriate for their application
  • Prepare written proposals and quotations for customers
  • Develop clear pricing and configuration recommendations
  • Communicate product options and specifications effectively
  • Maintain accurate records in the company’s customer database
  • Track existing customers and potential prospects
  • Document customer communications and opportunity progress
  • Coordinate with marketing, accounting, manufacturing, and shipping teams
  • Ensure accurate order processing and delivery timelines
  • Communicate customer requirements to production teams
  • Research potential customers and industry segments
  • Identify opportunities for new customer relationships
  • Participate in trade shows and industry events
  • Provide management with reports on customer activity and market insights
  • Communicate customer needs and competitive intelligence
