RIS I is the delivery of regional IT services to the end user. We offer support of end user devices including desktop, workplace peripherals, and voice and video devices. We support local and campus area networks, including wireless and cable plant. AT&T has an opening for a Cable Services Crew Lead: To provide daily oversight of executing training and keeping track of tasks that have been assigned. Works under general supervision from a Cable Supervisor. Must provide leadership and training to other technicians assigned to install, repair, and/or test Voice/Data, and audio-visual infrastructure. This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities: As Cable Lead, they are responsible for ensuring that crew members have the technical skills and training necessary to complete their assignments. This also helps to create a more skilled workforce that may gradually be assigned more complex tasks. Additionally, cable leads track that each team member’s tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner, and reports deficiencies only to their requisite Cable Support Managers. Responsibilities Include: Experience in installation, termination, testing procedures and standards, including Agency Cable Installation Standard. The cable lead should be energetic, a hard worker, and an effective communicator, which helps ensure that all individuals know their assign tasks and all concerns and requests are answered. They should also have the necessary skills to motivate the crew, as well as maintain a high level of discipline and respect. Provide team leadership, engineering, and design knowledge to meet technical specifications. Read and interpret drawings and schematics to develop cable run lists, pathways, and as-built infrastructure installations. Always creates a positive work environment on the job site. Assures that all work is at the level of quality expected by AT&T and by the client. Consult with the Cable Supervisor to ensure deadlines are met. Must comply, and ensure other Technicians comply, with all company policies and procedures. Assists in all aspects of the project as directed by the Cable Supervisor and/or Cable Manager. Ability to work independently or with other Technicians performing service calls. Completes work orders, material transfer forms, and other documentation required by the company. Able to teach skillsets and lead other Technicians in all environments. Properly terminate, test, and troubleshoot optical fiber installations, copper installations, and cable infrastructure. Interpret the job plan and scope of work as well as perform retrofits and upgrades for existing infrastructure. Technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) in all areas of cable and infrastructure installations. Ensure you, Technician 0’s, and 1’s, 2’s are following all safety guidelines. Obtain and maintain any certifications required to perform the job. For example: Confined Space Training. Must be able to climb ladders and perform the necessary work while on a ladder (within safety standards). Must be able to properly lift 50 pounds and carry 25 pounds. Furthers oneself through on-going education and certifications including, but not limited to, corporate or specialty courses. Must possess the skillset of a Tech 0,Tech 1, Tech 2.
