Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Electronics Technology or Electronics Engineering or higher
  • At least a year of experience working in a laboratory or manufacturing environment involving soldering and assembly
  • Solid technical background with understanding of basic electronics
  • Experience using soldering and crimp tools for cable assembly
  • Familiarity with component selection and procurement
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting while working in a lab environment during cable assembly and system level hardware integration
  • IPC 620 certification
  • Microsoft Visio Experience
  • Altium Experience

Responsibilities

  • Create and update cable designs and BOMs through the creation of detailed drawings
  • Support prototyping capabilities through cable assembly
  • Identify and source cable components such as connectors and wiring
  • Support prototyping and test capabilities through some electrical system design and assembly such as powering test fixtures
  • Collaborate on cable designs with R+D engineers working on research, development, and new product introductions
  • Coordinate with R+D engineers, troubleshoot cabling within instrumentation, and ultimately release your design to production using Engineering Change Orders and a Configuration Management release process
  • Communicate schedules, milestones, and status to project teams
