About The Position

Loveland Living Planet Aquarium (LLPA) is a world-class facility. The Aquarium provides learning opportunities for all levels, interests, and ages. Since opening its new facility in Draper in March 2014, the Aquarium has welcomed over eight million guests and provided innumerable educational experiences to students. Home to almost 5,000 animals representing 600 plus species and an additional 600 plus plant species the Aquarium showcases ecosystems from around the planet including kelp forests, coral reefs, the deep ocean, Antarctic waters, Asian cloud forests, South American rain forests, and the waterways of our home state of Utah. The Cashier is one of the first interactions our clients and guests will interface with – we are looking for the best! Ensuring a friendly smile, efficiency, and accuracy is what this ideal candidate will have each day while remember to follow Aramark’s Alcohol and Food Safety procedures. This position is considered an Hourly/Part-Time Employee

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older (Required)
  • Previous customer service experience (Required)
  • Basic math and counting skills (Required)
  • Utah Food Handler’s card (required)
  • Exhibit and practice the highest level of guest satisfaction skills
  • Willingness to accept change and new procedures
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet production/service time schedules, and adapt to necessary and unforeseen changes
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cash handling experience (Preferred)
  • Valid alcohol training meeting Utah requirements (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Accurately operate a register/ Point of sale (POS) and handle cash, credit card and other digital transactions
  • Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs
  • Adheres to Aramark’s cash handling policies and procedures
  • Understand and be knowledgeable of the merchandise for sale to assist customers and accurately process transactions
  • Assists in setting up, maintaining and tearing-down a concession stand; i.e. cleaning, dishes, food prep
  • Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned for unit based on operating hours
  • Always maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at the end of shift
  • Ensure product at assigned location is stocked to appropriate levels throughout service and replenish items as need
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Maintains excellent, friendly, and efficient customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers
  • Ensures security of company assets
  • Accepts constructive feedback and provides ideas, concerns to and from leadership
