About The Position

As the Manager, Capabilities at our Columbus Brewery your primary function is to analyze, plan and provide insight into the performance capabilities of our teams through both learning & development initiatives and the utilization of our management system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • 1-5 years professional experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven leadership and organization skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven analytical, influence and negotiation skills
  • Driven to deliver results against ambitious performance indicators
  • Ability to effectively run multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly adapt to new systems
  • Strong leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Owner of Brewery Skills and Qualifications, analysis of team capabilities and maintaining training records
  • Drive continued Leadership Development through analysis and targeted training
  • Lead the Management Pillar & Management Pillar VPO Champions development
  • Foster and develop community relationships with key partners including local manufacturing and academic partners
  • Drive VPO Steerco for the brewery including lead POC & coordinator for Check-2-Coach NAZ Subject Matter Expert program POC and coordinator
  • Lead the Autonomous Teams People Capabilities Factor
  • Develop, support, & execute the Learning & Development strategy for the brewery
  • Develop & communicate Training plan to close training gaps and improve operational performance
  • Lead training efforts across all departments including; Training record validation, coordination new hire orientation, tracking training progress, training plan compliance, on-the-job training event planning, updating training Material, and owning the training budget
  • Ensure our employees are engaged by identifying and certifying trainers for different jobs and equipment centers
  • Guide the execution of employee development conversations including; apprentice appraisals and one to one conversation execution
  • Spearhead the utilization, training, and upkeep of the Standard Operating Procedure system (Acadia)
  • Lead cross functional teams to World Class standards by driving execution of our Management System
  • Coordinate with General Manager, Site Leaders, and Zone leaders to ensure alignment of Management System Audits
  • Manage training budget oversight with the departments
  • Responsible for reporting out on Critical Metrics and up keep of KPI Dashboard
  • Execute Management System training for new hires
  • Coordinate training for employees with external organizations for on-site and off-site locations
