About The Position

As a Carpenter Helper, you will assist experienced carpenters on interior finishing projects for high-rise condo repiping and renovations. Your primary focus is supporting the team, keeping the job site safe and organized, and learning carpentry sills. This position offers hands-on experience, meaningful work, and long-term career growth – ideal for an early-career professional committed to learning the trade. The Carpenter Helper role requires the demonstrated ability to work carefully, communicate effectively, follow safety protocols, and maintain a professional appearance. This role is intended to be a full-time hourly position, based at the job site, reports to the Project Lead, and works closely with the rest of the onsite team.

Requirements

1-3 years of carpentry experience (finish carpentry preferred; rough or punch-out also considered)
Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
Able to lift 50–100 lbs regularly
Own basic carpentry hand tools
18+ years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
Pass background check and drug screening
Reliable transportation to job sites
Must already reside in the state of Hawaii

Responsibilities

Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood and other materials
Lift and move materials as needed by carpentry team (50-100 lbs regularly)
Help maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites
Perform demo and removal of old materials as directed
Take out trash and perform general site support
