About The Position
The Carpenter must be skilled in drywall, painting, trim carpentry, and light framing; any other skills a plus. Incumbent must be a positive and dependable worker, willing to learn and follow company policies, procedures, practices, and complete all tasks assigned in a timely and professional manner. Successful prior track record as a Carpenter/ Handyman skilled in drywall, painting, trim carpentry, and light framing Own standard set of tools to perform all the above trades Maintain a safe and clean working environment Current and valid drivers license with reliable transportation to drive between work sites Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to pass a Background and MVR Check Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs): Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, owners and vendors Strength in prioritizing, organizing and executing tasks Work independently with little supervision Stay on task with multiple competing priorities Work independently as well as part of a team Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation Must be fluent in English (written and verbal), bilingual in Spanish is a plus Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Two (2) years carpenter experience, in a construction environment preferred Valid Drivers License Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb ladders Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted Walking or standing without rest periods up to 2.5 hours Repeated bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, climbing, digging, shoveling, sweeping Qualifications
Requirements
