About The Position
The Carpenter must be skilled in drywall, painting, trim carpentry, and light framing; any other skills a plus. Incumbent must be a positive and dependable worker, willing to learn and follow company policies, procedures, practices, and complete all tasks assigned in a timely and professional manner. Requirements
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, owners and vendors
- Strength in prioritizing, organizing and executing tasks
- Work independently with little supervision
- Stay on task with multiple competing priorities
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
- Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years carpenter experience, in a construction environment preferred
- Valid Drivers License
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Walking or standing without rest periods up to 2.5 hours
- Repeated bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, climbing, digging, shoveling, sweeping
Nice To Haves
- bilingual in Spanish is a plus
Responsibilities
- Successful prior track record as a Carpenter/ Handyman skilled in drywall, painting, trim carpentry, and light framing
- Own standard set of tools to perform all the above trades
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Current and valid drivers license with reliable transportation to drive between work sites
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to pass a Background and MVR Check
