CDI Specialist (Hybrid, Part Time)
About The Position
Position Summary: Position would entail the review of inpatient medical records to promote complete and accurate clinical documentation. Would require excellent skills in direct communication or via CDI query with physicians, residents, fellows, and APP’s to clarify medical documentation in the patient record. Would also work closely with coding staff. Will need to become proficient in use of the Meditech EMR along with 3M CDIS programming. Experience: Previous CDI experience strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 Years Nursing experience in Med Surg or Critical Care perferred, DRG, ICD-10 and coding background, proficient with 3M Coding Software preferred. Education: Bachelors in Nursing preferred.
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills to interact with medical and hospital staff required.
- Current NJ Registered Nurse license required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous CDI experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 Years Nursing experience in Med Surg or Critical Care perferred

- Proficient with 3M Coding Software preferred.
- Bachelors in Nursing preferred.
- CDI Certification preferred.
