Purpose and Impact: The Systems Cellular Engineer shall provide wireless/RF engineering support on systems, system elements, components, devices and/or processes. The position also requires the following: Engineering disciplines to support design, development, and implementation activities Reviewing, evaluating and analyzing equipment, components, engineering documents, test plans, test data and procedures Conducting installation and maintenance of systems/equipment Providing associated training to customer personnel In-depth knowledge of Wi-Fi or cellular systems to include current 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G communications network along with future technologies General principles of RF communications and propagation. Intermediate expertise on personal computers, associated software, and basic networking applications. Direct field experience involving the integration, deployment, optimization and use of RF systems. Experience with IP networking to include hardware platforms (Firewalls, switches, routers) with Cisco or equivalent certifications being a plus. Must have experience in fielding telecommunications equipment with an emphasis on the RF interface (any combination of designing, building, testing, optimizing, evaluating, and deploying). Project management experience along with the ability to articulate risk management efforts, defining timelines, and defining scope while working in a diverse cross-functional team. The potential candidate should be a self-starter and capable of providing detailed documentation to stakeholders and other leadership team members.
