Summary: The Cement Mason is responsible for placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete surfaces on construction projects. This role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in demanding outdoor and jobsite environments.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Must have a minimum of 3 years previous work experience as a cement mason
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Must be able to determine the kind of tools and equipment need to do a job
High school diploma or GED desired
Must have a positive attitude and work ethic
Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, and materials
Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening

Responsibilities

Set forms, pour, spread, and finish concrete using hand tools, power tools, and finishing equipment
Smooth, level, and finish concrete surfaces using trowels, floats, screeds, and other tools
Apply curing or surface treatments to concrete
Patch, repair, and restore concrete surfaces as needed
Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work orders
Measure, mix, and pour concrete or related materials accurately
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and clean condition
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Work collaboratively with crew members, supervisors, and other trades
Must wear proper attire at all times including PPE
May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends
