The Cement Finisher will ensure that concrete is poured correctly and meets the required specifications.

Requirements

Knowledgeable in OSHA standards
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
Proven experience as a Cement Finisher or similar role.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
Familiarity with power tools and machinery used in concrete finishing.
Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test is required

Responsibilities

Set up and align forms for concrete according to blueprints or plans.
Mix, pour, and spread concrete in specified proportions.
Smooth, level, and finish freshly poured concrete using trowels, floats, and screeds.
Monitor the effects of weather conditions on concrete curing and make necessary adjustments.
Apply sealing and hardening components to cure surfaces.
Create textured or decorative surfaces by imprinting patterns in fresh concrete.
Cut expansion joints into concrete using saws and cutting tools.
Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
Supervise and train junior workers on proper techniques and tool usage.
Maintains a clean job site; picks up tools and equipment
Other duties as assigned.
