About The Position

Facilitates efficient daily scheduling for medical or surgical procedures performed in the hospital. Acts as a liaison between the doctor's office, clinic, etc., and the hospital. Demonstrates discretion protecting the confidentiality of patient information at all times. Knowledge of health care systems, medical terminology, and insurance requirements regarding outpatient scheduling are essential to this position.

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
• Computer word processing skills and knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.
• Basic knowledge of healthcare system, medical terminology and good grammar and composition skills required.
