About The Position

This supervisor role is both supervising the Centralized Lending function while also actively assisting with processing more complex loans. Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the Bank’s loan systems and centralized lending function; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Requirements

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field of study preferred; specialized bank lending education and training.
  • Clearly communicates in English; proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; moderate interpersonal relations and communicative skills; thorough knowledge of current lending regulations and bank operating policies and procedures which impact loan services; moderate knowledge of underwriting, processing, and documentation requirements; thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all loan products and services; proficient PC skills and thorough knowledge of systems and software which impact loan administration processes; working knowledge of management and supervisory skills; visual and auditory skills.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in related positions normally required

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations concerning consumer and commercial lending.
  • Ensures the prompt and efficient delivery of loan services to both external customers and bank personnel.
  • Organizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned personnel.
  • Assist with preparation of commercial loan documentation as necessary.
  • Evaluate business processes to ensure adherence with bank policies, regulations and enhance efficiency, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Coordinates with Information Systems Analyst to maintain documented process flows while leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Reviews and analyzes system release notes that impact the loan origination system.
  • Perform user acceptance testing to ensure platforms function as expected and in accordance with regulatory guidance and troubleshoots or resolves functionality.
  • Updating, implementing and maintaining centralized lending operational procedures.
  • Provides training and assistance to department personnel.
  • Approves non-exempt time records.
  • Keeps personnel informed of pertinent policies and procedures affecting the department.
  • Creates an atmosphere in which upward communication from employees is encouraged.
  • Administers personnel policies and procedures as established by Bank policy.
  • Reviews employee performance throughout the probationary period and on an annual basis thereafter.
  • Assist in the selection of new personnel as appropriate.
  • Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
  • Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate Bank personnel.
  • Responds to inquiries relating to his/her area, or to requests from customers, other Bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
  • Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.
