About The Position

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing and transitional rehabilitation environment. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA assists patients recovering from hospitalization with the goal of improving functional independence, safety, and overall quality of life, supporting timely and safe discharge outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program required.
  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required in the practicing state.
  • Must be able to work weekday schedules (Monday–Friday, 35 hours/week).
  • Strong communication skills, documentation accuracy, and the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary rehab team are essential.

Nice To Haves

  • BLS certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing or transitional rehabilitation setting preferred.
