About The Position

Provide multi-faith pastoral care and guidance to patients, family members, staff, and others who may require assistance. Exhibit/demonstrate sensitivity to the multi-faith setting and capacity to assess the best method or strategy for meeting the needs of the guest. Respond to a page for pastoral care services within 10 minutes Contacts the Pastoral Care Director and Administrative assistant in a Code Triage. Contacts the Pastoral Care Director if hospital staff is seriously injured or ill. Provide Sacraments/Ordinances of the Church, such as Holy Communion, Anointing, Baptism as requested. Documents visit/contacts in the Pastoral Care Log Book and notes and follow-up needs. Attend Continuing Education meetings as offered by the Department of Pastoral Care. 10 minute response time to page is required. Must be able to report to Moore Regional Hospital Campus within 30 minutes of receiving phone call

Requirements

  • Master of Divinity or Theology or theological understanding of the clinical setting required
  • One Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education within the past five years or active involvement in our Chaplain Associates Volunteer program required
  • Completion of Chaplain Associate's training program required
  • Knowledge in End of Life issues, Crisis Intervention and Debriefing, emotional/spiritual distress issues required
