Chemical Process Engineer Chemical Process Engineer for Luling, LA to perform process control auditing to ensure compliance with performance metrics for herbicide manufacturing operations; support identification of product quality, production capacity & safety optimization opportunities; update process flow diagrams, operating instructions, change management forms & related process engineering, safety and environmental documents; collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify & implement continuous improvement opportunities; lead plant projects & process hazard analysis reviews; review change management documentation for process changes; identify & report process safety risks; monitor environmental performance to ensure regulatory compliance; mentor junior engineers & technicians. Requires Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or closely-related field & 3 yrs experience in chemical and/or process engineering position(s): using Management of Change, PHA, HAZOP and What-If risk assessment methodologies to ensure process safety control for chemical manufacturing plant(s); performing troubleshooting & root cause analyses for herbicide production process issues, including quality, process safety, and downtime issues; utilizing active ingredient manufacturing process knowledge to make effective optimization decisions for final formulated herbicide products; evaluating product analytical results to perform process troubleshooting & root cause analysis for quality assurance; applying lean manufacturing methodologies to chemical manufacturing plant operations; developing process control strategies & tuning control parameters; conducting engineering reviews, functional checkout, commissioning, site acceptance testing & startup on automated processes and machines; performing manufacturing process mass balance for monitoring raw materials usage; and implementing process improvements to increase the yield of raw material to finished product. Up to 5% U.S. and/or int’l travel req’d. Telecommuting permitted from home office location within reasonable commuting distance of Luling, LA up to 2 days per week. Salary Range: Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $139,000.00 to $155,000.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or closely-related field
