The role will be based in SlingWorks®, our advanced R&D organization responsible for executing strategic development programs, exploring emerging technologies, and enabling the growth of our business units by solving some of the most complex challenges on the modern battlefield. Problem set spans all domains with near term focus on Launched Effects & Munitions, Warfighter Borne Vision & XR Systems, Autonomy & ATR, Counter Intrusion & Protection, and concept validation. Job Summary: Chief Architect for SlingWorks will be a key technology leader for the company responsible for developing and defining new pursuits as informed by Elbit America corporate team and individual business units. Projects will range from viability assessment to concept development to design reviews and prototype builds. In addition to having technical acumen, this technical leader will proactively engage with customers, industry and company leadership to provide cohesive recommendations and inform investment (internal and external). Will serve as the technology roadmap owner for the organization and drive alignment between products under development and customer problem sets. Go-to technical leader for viability assessments and concept development across multiple disciplines Develop system level architecture and drive validation with technical teams Advise SlingWorks and Corporate level leadership on pursuits Support SlingWorks evolution and growth by developing architectures, whitepapers, simualtions, and other supporting materials required to effectively communicate with stakeholders Constructively advise on prioritization and execution of R&D budgets This is a new role and Chief Architect will have ability to influence and advise tasking and organizational construct

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related field and typically 15+ years of experience, however strong experiential resumes will be considered
  • Must be comfortable operating across multiple technical disciplines and engaging with senior Subject Matter Experts in each
  • Advanced analytical, diagnostic and technical skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a diverse, cross-functional team
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic to support integration with both onsite and remote teams
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, subject matter experts and business users, as well as internal and external developers
  • Ability to participate in and/or manage multiple projects at once

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance is desired
